Keep or Throw Out???

I have had these sweats going on 14 years now and Josh thinks they are just hideous.
I got them for drill team when I was just starting high school and they've been with me off and on since then. My high school was Olathe East, hence the word EAST on the butt. Yes, on the butt. I'm sure Amy is very familiar with these sweats as she grew up with them too, on me of course. She was my seminary buddy. I had to cut them off because I would wear them to seminary, no shoes, and pull the bottom of them over my feet. So there were big holes. They've been through a lot and they are very comfy and I just can't part with them.

And NO, I wasn't this big in high school, they're just sweats, they stretch!

Again, Josh thinks they are nasty and wants me to throw them out and said he would replace them. I can't bear the thought of throwing them out! I know, I know, move on! But it's not that, they're just comfy.

Funny girls...

We've been laughing a lot lately.

On our way to Kansas to visit my family, like 3 weeks ago ( pictures to come), we drove through a storm. Kansas storms are awesome! Ayva was looking out the window and watching everything like the lightning and she said...

I like this place!

Then...

I've never seen this before!

There was this big lightning strike and Ayva looks at Cheyenne and says...

Beese (Cheyenne), did you see that?

Last weekend we went camping and before we left Josh changed the oil on the Explorer. Ayva was watching and when Josh let the old oil out Ayva said...

Look daddy, the car is going potty!

While we were camping I was helping Ayva with her fishing pole. She wanted me to throw it out so she could reel it back in. On the end of her line is this fake purple fish. One time she was reeling it in and it got stuck on some rocks so we had to cut the line. I told Ayva I was sorry I lost her fishy and she says...

That's ok mama, it was just an accident.

So Josh caught a fish and he was cleaning it out down by the water and put the guts in a sack. Ayva comes running up to camp screaming...

I got the fishies guts mama, I got the fishies guts!!!

She comes up to me and says...

You want to see them?

I said, no thanks! Then she says...

You want to eat them?

I imagine you all know what my response was.

Oh while we were in Kansas, Dad took us to the lake for a ride on his boat and do some fishing. Mom and dad had the girls while Josh and I were in our car. When we got to the lake Ayva asked grandma and grandpa...

Is Lacey OK?

Cheyenne still hasn't started talking yet but she has a few words like-mama, dada, duck, dog and car. At the doctor's office the other day she did call Ayva-Eggwa.

Since she can't express in words how she is feeling she's found other ways to do that. For instance...

When I tell her "No" she throws herself on the ground and cries.
OR, instead of throwing herself on the ground she'll look at me, throwing her arms around and then hit her chest, grab her shirt and pull it. You know, in a mad sort of way.
OR, if Ayva's around she'll look at me all mad like and go to Ayva and pull her hair. All while looking at me.
What a punk!!! She probably takes after her mom.
Sometimes Cheyenne has to sleep in the other room because of the hair pulling(previous post). Sometimes Ayva looks at me all worried and says, "Put her in the other room."
Don't get me wrong, she is a sweet little girl and the sweet moments are more frequent than the other moments.
Her face expressions are hilarious!

Cheyenne just started going to nursery 2 weeks ago and is doing great. The leaders told me that Ayva has come alive since Cheyenne joined. Apparently, Ayva is very quiet and to herself but when Cheyenne came in she joins in on everything now. It's funny to see how different they are.

Again, I've been a slacker on the whole posting thing. Our computer has had issues so Josh took a few days and worked on it. So far, it's working great. He's amazing when it comes to computers, he can fix anything! Now that it's working I have no excuses, well except for the whole being a mom excuse. HaHaHa!

Cheyenne's evil doings...

The girls sleep together on a queen size mattress and everything has been just fine until a few days ago. Ayva has been complaining a lot lately of Cheyenne pulling her hair and I've caught her doing a few times. The past few nights have been a bit different. I hear Ayva screaming bloody mary, so I go up there and she's crying because Cheyenne is pulling her hair. So I do the parenting thing then leave the room, not seconds later Ayva is screaming again. Go into her room and miss her in the act again but parent(a little slap on the hand) her nonetheless. Go out the room and open the door right after, Cheyenne is up next to Ayva about the pull her hair. This happens a couple times more and she's just not learning so I had to put her in the other room.

The next night we try just leaving them in there together and surprise surprise she's doing it again! This time Josh goes in and Cheyenne is straddling Ayva's back pulling her hair.

What happened to my little angel? This little girl can't possibly be doing this!

Ayva Comments...

Ayva had a spray water bottle and was trying to spray the water down the straw of her sippy cup. It just wasn't working. She tried again and again.
Her response...

What's the deal?!!

She just keeps us laughing!

updates...

Yet again, I've been a slacker. So here are some updates.

Here are Ayva and Cheyenne posing for the camera...
A couple weeks ago we were invited to the Jardine cousin camp and we had a blast. They did an awesome job putting it all together! We weren't able to attend all the days but we were there for the opening ceremonies and the next day too. Tara, Aubrey, Brianne and of course all the Jardine's were there. It was so fun to see everyone again!
They started it off with the ribbon cutting ceremony. How cute!
They were then presented with T-shirts and little magnifying glasses because we were going to the Butterfly Pavilion. The kids had a lot of fun.
There was only one part that I wasn't a fan of. If you look closely at Verlinda's right hand you'll see why. For those of you who know me pretty well, know that I have this huge fear of those things! I can't believe they held her, they named the thing Rosie.
They also had stations for the kids to touch some of the sea creatures. Ayva was a little scared to touch them but it looks like Jagger had no fear.
Janae and her crew minus the little one who is just adorable.
They also saw turtles.

Jacqui was taking a picture of the kids and a butterfly landed on her hand. You could be a hand model Jacqui!
They release new butterflies everyday.
Cheyenne liked the displays.
Here are most of the kids posing for us.
Cheyenne was worn out from all that fun.
day 2
So the next day was Pirate day and they started it off with Verlinda teaching them terms that pirates used and they got pirate hats.
Then played a game like "pin the tail on the donkey" but with pirate stuff. Ayva refused to have her eyes covered.
And here is Cheyenne playing in the toy room while the other kids were playing the game.
Jacqui decided to join in on the fun. Go Jacqui, I believe her treasure chest ended up on the wall.
Then they had a treasure hunt.
Ayva climbing the stairs to the other clue.
They found the treasure! It was so cute, they had necklaces, chocolate coins, big ballon, rings, etc.
Cheyenne trying out the necklace, mmmmm yummy!
Ayva and Cheyenne loved the big ballons.

For lunch, Jerianne made pizza boats complete with a pirate flag! So creative and yummy too!
Then we headed off for the Denver Aquarium. I've been wanting to take the girls there but never got a chance so this was perfect. It is an awesome aquarium! Here we are at one of the tanks, just in time for a good cleaning.

Here's a nice fishy face!
Aubrey was so great to push Cheyenne around while I took pictures of everything. Thanks Aubrey!
I finally let her out to get a closer look at the fishies.
This was the last tank and it was amazing, huge sharks.
Cheyenne liked them too!
Brogan and Ayva posing for a picture, I think Ayva's getting the hang of it. I've trained her well!
After the aquarium we headed to Long John Silver to continue the theme of Pirates Day! Unfortunately we had to end the fun here. And we came home to this...
This is our back yard at the end of the storm.
Thank you Jardine's for the awesome time!!!

So I thought it was Springtime!

We've been having a lot of snow storms lately (Josh is getting annoyed because we can't go camping,  hehe)
We've had this blizzard going since yesterday! It's very pretty but I think I'm done with snow for a while! I would post some pictures but my computer is giving me issues again!
I WONDER IF SANTA DOES SPECIAL DELIVERIES DURING THE YEAR?
Anyways, I'll post some pictures (hopefully soon) when my computer gets an attitude adjustment.
Oh, and on Easter it snowed and church was canceled, it's been an interesting winter around here.
I have more posts coming because we were invited to the Jardine cousin camp and it has been a blast, they always know how to have a good time! Thanks again guys!

Can you tell I've been annoyed with my computer?!
You get the point.

So here are a few pics from the past couple months(I've been slacking on the picture taking as well, I know crazy)...

Had a blizzard

Ayva's birthday in Utah
Day to day life
This is Cheyenne being mad... she puts her hand to her mouth and gives you a glare
Cheyenne has a thing for jackets lately. This is her sporting Ayva's coat.
Ayva has fallen in love with coloring. I could leave her there all day coloring and she would love it.
This is Ayva singing her new favorite song. Listen to it, it's so cute!

The other day we were driving and she says,
"Mama, will you sing the I AM A CHILD OF GOD song?"
Me-- "I want to hear you sing it!"
Ayva--"No you sing it."
Me--"But I love hearing you sing it."
Ayva--(with a sigh)"Nevermind."

It  was the funniest thing, course she's always saying funny things.
