Potty Training!!!

It's finally here, I'm starting to potty train Ayva. Yesterday we got her a little potty and today for the very first time she did it. It was so funny because I took her diaper off and she would sit on it and then get up and play with the box it came in and then she would sit again thinking it was this cool new chair. And then she looked at me with this almost panic look and ran to the chair sat on it and she did it. I was very happy!

Also, Cheyenne is starting to eat cereal. So we are just moving right along!

I'm not looking forward to when Ayva goes to kindergarten. I know it's a ways off but I think about it and I can't stand the thought of it. How do you let them go? She will be away from me and I'll no control on what goes on. I'm terrified!!! Anyone else?

New Title

Ok so this title layout isn't the best, I know. I would love some feedback. Do you like the black background or pink? Or should I just scrap it altogether?

I'm back and Happy Easter (late)!!!!

So it's been a while since my last post and I'm sorry to those who visit frequently.

HAPPY EASTER!! Here are some pictures from our Easter.

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Bates for the cute little slippers. Ayva loves her Dora slippers, she wears them during the day and she sleeps in them as well. Thank you!

Cheyenne is standing by herself but supported by the couch. She lasted for a split second and I caught it, I was so excited.

Ayva was watching me color eggs on Saturday night. She had fun sitting on the counter and playing with everything.

Here she is coloring the eggs. I was trying to help her but she was insistent that she do it herself.

She's a persistent little thing.

These are their baskets. Nothing too exciting. When Ayva woke up and came out of her room she saw the baskets she didn't quite know what to do.

Then it kicked in and she went right over to them, picked them up and brought them into the living room and found the chocolate. Here's Ayva coming out of her room ready to find some eggs.

Ayva found an egg under Cheyenne's arm.

And she found another behind the computer desk.

And two others in the walker.

And here she is putting all the eggs in her basket.

And yet another egg she found.

Well she finally found all the eggs and wanted to find some more. So she was playing with the eggs and she had one in her hand and tossed it up and on it's way down it hit her in the head. She was a little startled but it was so funny, Josh and I were cracking up.

2 year check up today!!!

Ayva didn't have a very good time at the doctor's today. She cried the whole time they were getting her measurements. She weighs 26 lbs. and is 34 inches in height. Doctor said she's doing well, she just needs to eat more veggies. That's probably a given with most little kids, right?! She also had 3 shots today and she really wasn't happy with that too. When we got home she point to her thighs and said,"It's hurt." Poor thing.

Cheyenne's 4 month check-up

I just love taking the babies to the doctor's office for shots. Well Cheyenne got checked out today and she is doing well. She weighed in at 14.9 lbs, which means she is in the 75th percentile, big baby. She is also 25 1/2 inches, and that's the 90th percentile, even bigger. She got 5 shots today, poor thing. She was not happy at all with them but she was a trooper soon after. For those of you who didn't know she had a little skin tag on her right ear and the doctor snipped that off today as well. Not a happy day for her.

So we are all doing well. Ayva just had her birthday and it was a last minute trip but we went over to grandpa and grandma Bates house for the weekend and she had a great time with cousins, grandma and grandpa, cake and most of all presents. Thank you everyone for the gifts!
